Colonial School Students Welcome Holiday Season

POSTED: AUGUST 2011

Sound Shore Medical Center of Westchester administrators, staff and members from the Junior League of Westchester on the Sound and their children, along with students from the Colonial School in Pelham joined in the activities to welcome the Holiday Season.

The participants gathered in the lobby of Sound Shore Medical Center for the lighting of both the official Sound Shore Medical Center tree as well as the Tree of Lights. Each light on the Tree of Lights represents loved ones who are being honored or remembered by family members or friends.

Following the illumination of the Tree, those gathered were led in song by the Junior League members and the Colonial students. Then joined by the Vice President for Long Term Care and Schaffer Extended Care Administrator, Susan A. Sales as well as other administrators and staff, the enthusiastic carolers sang for many who call Schaffer home. And no doubt, everyone enjoyed the music and particularly the young, sweet voices of the children singing Jingle Bells. On occasions such as this, it is hard to know who benefits more – those giving or those receiving!
