Caffe Regatta Marks 10th Anniversary!

By Morris Gut

This fish house just keeps getting better. Now talented chef/proprietor Anthony Labriola is marking his 10th Anniversary in Pelham with a new seasonal summer menu. During the anniversary celebration all tables will receive a complimentary gift box of dessert truffles.

Customers entering handsome Caffe Regatta will encounter a soothing light blue sea atmosphere accented with starch white table settings, colorful fresh flowers, and artwork depicting a boating theme. To the left as you enter, a large ‘sea mirror’ distorts your reflection just enough to give you that ocean feel. The neat professional staff is most helpful. Jazzy music filters throughout.

Labriola offers such delectable beautifully plated starters as: Shrimp and Vegetable Spring Rolls; Yellow Fin Tuna Tartare; Summer Lobster Salad; and Lobster Pizza.

There is a chilled seafood raw bar daily and dramatic shellfish towers can be assembled with your choice of offerings. They’re a sight to see and enjoy served with all the trimmings!

Main courses from the open kitchen include: Linguine Funghi Tartufo; Penne Mediterraneo; Crab Crusted Atlantic Cod; Honey Glazed Wild Salmon; Crispy Skin Yellowtail Snapper; and live Lobsters weighing in from 1 1/2 lbs. to 5 lbs. (by advanced order), prepared as you like and market priced.

Fine alternative dishes now include: the house Imperial Burger; Hanger Steak; 24 oz. Aged Bone-In Rib Eye; and Grilled Black Angus Sirloin. Don’t forget those addicting supplemental sides like: Vidalia onion rings, shoe string fries and broccoli rabe.

There is a new wine cellar and a moderately priced list of fine wines to complement you meal with 25 selections by the glass. Half the vintages on the wine list are priced under $40. The house promotes BYOB Tuesdays.

The extensive Sunday brunch menu includes such specialties as: Lobster Benedict; Lemon Ricotta Hot Cakes; Crab Cake BLT; and old fashioned Steak & Eggs.
